DTACH, aka Nicholas Karram has accomplished things that most people only dream of. While he has been immersed in Hip Hop since a child, he's also attained extraordinary skills in some of the most difficult arts known. By the age of 16, he was a professional skateboarder while being heavily involved in the crime scene, stuck in a destructive cycle of drug dealing and substance abuse. When his very close friend was murdered in 2002, this was the turning point. DTACH decided to take a three year sabbatical and focus on martial arts and meditation only. He became a Southern Praying Mantis Kung Fu Instructor while moving upwards to a Master of Tai Chi Chuan, Qi Gong and Buddhist & Taosit meditation. For over a decade he has been a spiritual mentor to many people across the globe. Born in Australia of Lebanese/Jamaican descent, raised in Vancouver, Canada and now living in Phuket, Thailand, DTACH is truly universal. With over 15 years of writing, recording and performing experience, you could consider him a veteran of the art, skilfully refining his craft in the shadows of the music industry. His theatrical delivery is powerfully executed with advanced rhyme patterns, complex punchlines, mystical wordplay and metaphors complete with a deep spiritual theme.
DTACH, is an acronym for Delivers Truth And Conquers Himself. Far beyond a stage name, it's a skill and a way of life that is clearly evident in his unique lyrics. DTACH states that "detachment is a necessary skill for anyone who wishes to eliminate stress from their lives and connect to the natural law and rhythm of the Universe. When we're connected, we see the true nature of things and realise that nothing belongs to us at all. Soon, we begin to experience an inner happiness and ultimately a life of peace and harmony."
DTACH is not just an emcee, he's a spiritual lyricist who is currently signed with Wu-Tang Management's Protect Ya Neck Records, Elevating Music Group as well as Sideshow KUTS International Clubbing Brand and Label. He is also the Thailand General for the Wu Worldwide DJ Coalition, a blessing that was given to him by his brethren Dj Jay U Ice. DTACH has strong ties with Dj Vietnam of Lifeless Immortals. Brothers-In-Arms and Kindred God-bodies. Dj Vietnam said "DTACH is a lyrical scholar of the Immortal Culture, as he knows both the dark and the light."
DTACH has worked with many artists and Wu-Tang affiliates including Sunz of Man, Solomon Childs, Killah Priest, Timbo King, Donnie Menace, Paul Marz, Judah Priest, Zu Ninjaz & Young Dirty Bastard. In 2015, he headlined the Australian 'Wu-nited Down Under' and "Drunken Assassins" tours with Solomon Childs, Tha Alkaholiks, Zu Ninjaz, Paul Marz and Shorty Shit Stain of Brooklyn Zu. Keep an ear to the streets as there is going to be a lot of new sounds hitting the airwaves from DTACH.
SwaggNation:Where Do You See Yourself In 10 Years?
DTACH:Wherever I'm meant to be. All I can do is concentrate on today, right now in the moment where everything happens.
SwaggNation:How Do You Want The World To Think/ React To The Lyrics You Spit?
DTACH:The same way I react when I hear dope artists coming up in the game representing the culture of Hip Hop. Every word needs to be felt deep inside and resonate with them. If my bars help and elevate one person then I'm doing my job and if there's a domino effect, then my job is fulfilled.
SwaggNation:If You Had One Rapper To Compare Yourself To, Who Would It Be And Why?

SwaggNation:How do you feel about music today?
